When you drive along main street through Sylva, NC and see the entrance to the Heinzelmannchen Brewery you have to stop! The brewery was established in 2004.
Sheryl CEO and Beer Wench
When you meet Sheryl you will have fun at the brewery. Sheryl was a massage therapist. Her husband, Dieter is the brewmeister born and raised in Germany. Dieter was a nurse before changing careers.
German Micro Brew
The beer taps as you would expect come out of a German Beer Barrel. All of the beers are keg contained and non-filtered.
Refreshing Gernan Beer
Dieter makes his beer from fresh hops, wholesome grains and no preservatives.
Where the magic take place
Dieter spent 12 years brewing beer then attended the Siebel Institute of Technology Brewing program before opening the Heinzelmannchen Brewery in 2004. I hope to obtain a picture of Dieter this summer.
Smooth German Brew
The GOLDEN German Beer that Dieter brews is smooth and light in body. That is because all the beer is keg conditioned and non- filtered. You have to stop by and try it.
David
I had a chance to meet David who is part of the Brewery personality. David picks up the left over mash to feed his pigs. Now David is a craftsman in his own right. David owns and operates the Calerin Forge Custom Iron and School of Ancient Craft.

Dieter imports the authentic German Growlers from Germany. This is a Growler that every beer lover should have. The Heinzelmannchen Brewery is noted for its Growler.
