The Dorantes Longtail was thought not to exist north of the Miami area until late 1969. After hurricane Camille in 1969 it was found throughout the state.
The tail soon wears off, so this one was a find. This image was captured at Westminster gardens in Winter Park, FL
The clear spots seen through the wing are distinctive. The forewing marginal band is interrupted. (Glassberg 288)
