White-breasted Nuthatch Sitta carolinensis The White-breasted Nuthatch was seen in my backyard in Highlands, NC. The White-breasted Nuthatch climbing head down, has a blueish color with a dark crown cap running down the bill. Really blends into the tree trunk!

I was able to photograph this White-breasted Nuthatch on a limb which is rare.
