American Avocet (Breading) Recurvirostra americana This pair of female and male Avocets was found on the Black Point Wildlife drive in Merritt Island WMR. I think the male has darker brown coloring than the female. Unable to confirm this observation.

American Avocet (Breeding) Recurvirostra americana These Avoces were found on the Black Point Wildlife drive in Merritt Island WMR. Once again I think this is a group of early breeding Avocets. The males have the darker brown coloration than the females. Correct me if I am wrong. The images was taken in early March.
