The butterfly is found thourgh out the southeastern US and a far north as Mass and Conn. As of 2015 it was considered a threatened species in Conn. The Image was taken in Leu Gardens, Winter Park, FL.
The white spots on the Fore Wing are distinctive. (Glassberg 314)
