The old Entenmann"s Bakery Outlet is still on the corner 436 and 17/92 in Altamonte Springs. A new exchange is planned to go in so I am not sure how much longer it will be there.

BIG BASS HOLE - 1992 Sanford, FL

The Bass Hole was a fixture on the shores of Lake Monroe in Sanford,FL. It is no longer there.

Dairy Queen - 1992 Sanford, FL

MOVIELAND - 1992 Sanford, FL

MovieLand was located on 17/92 on the way into Sanford, Florida. The picture was taken in 1992. I remember going there as a child. It is no longer there.

HOLLER CHEVORLET - Wintrer Park, FL

This was the first Steak and Ale in the Orlando area. It was located on 17/92 across from Lake Lilly in Maitland, FL. It became SoNappa Grill and is now undergoing another renovation.

El Rancho Motel - Maitland, FL

The El Rancho Hotel was located on 17/92 in Maitland, FL. I was able to take the photo of the sign but the hotel already was taken down. A Publix supermarket is at this location now.

China Jade - Maitland, FL

China Jade was a long time favorite restaurant in the Maitland, FL area on 17/92. Before being China Jade it was the Purple Porpoise and before that the House of Beef. A Publix supermarket is at this location now.

Brian owns the last Bait Shop in the Central Florida area. He has operated the Bait Shop for the past 5 years.

The Motel - Titusville, FL

I had the chance to speak with Sam who is the care taker of the Motel in Titusville, FL. The Motel is located on US 1 and was built in the late 1950s. The original sign was blown away by a hurricane in 1963. The current sign is the exact replica made from an old Buick dealership sign of the same period. All the rooms in the Motel are recycled Disney rooms from the park in Orlando.

Live Minnows - Bithlo, FL

The original sign is on the left and the new sign had just been erected. We were lucky to get a photo of the old sign as well. The building has been in the area for 30 years.

Keith and I ran across ATCHLEY'S this morning on a hunt for old signs around the St Johns river area. ATCHLEY''S was found in Orange City, FL. The appliance center has been in business since 1956 with third generation family involved.

Cassadaga Hotel - Cassadaga, FL

I had never visited Cassadaga but thought it might be a place to take some unique photos. I am a Christian so I really felt out of place in a Spiritualist Town. The hotel was built in the early 1920's as "a quiet place to lay your head, but most specially, as a respected Spiritual Sanctuary. From the web site about the Hotel their "mission is to help those who are seeking guidance from the Highest Angelic Realms and it's truths."
