After lunch on the way back to Dromoland Castle we stopped at the Hole of Sorrows. This is a portal tomb in the Burren, County Clare, Ireland. It dates back to the Neolithic period possibly between 4200 BC and 2900 BC. In 1985 excavations found between 16 and 22 adults and 6 children buried under the monument.

This is the statue in front of the St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Chruch in Ballyvaughan, Ireland. I think this is the Virgin Mary statue but have been unable to confirm it. The fact is was so colorful caught my eye.
